The primarily purpose of this role is to re- set, run and monitor component quality from 2 fully automated production lines. The ideal candidate will preferably possess knowledge of power presses and press tool setting and be capable of working alone in a safe and efficient manner. Training will be provided where necessary for the right person. The successful candidate will be actively involved in the improvement of the processes. Knowledge of techniques such as (SMED), 5 why problem solving, and other standard industry tools would be advantageous. The capability to accurately record production data and feedback manufacturing issues to the engineering Technical team is required.
During tool servicing and repair and downtime the candidate will be required to run other machines – training will be provided.
Primarily responsible for the effective running of the company’s razor blade substrate automated production lines.
Re-setting and change-over of tool modules.
Strip material feedthroughs
Tool and line adjustments in response to measurement data (Training will be given)
Working to company recognised standards of performance (SOP’s).
Compliance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures always.
Accurate recording of production data using the company’s Navision MRP system.
Back up Machine minding when required.
Material handling – safe loading and unloading of raw material.
Safe use of lifting equipment whilst loading and transporting press tooling.
Updating of development files to reflect process changes when required.
Upkeep of relevant technical documentation to ensure accuracy of information.
