Brandauer’s ongoing investment into state-of-the-art equipment position the business above the capabilities and capacity of its competition. The company is charging ahead in the manufacture of progression tools and their components, which in the UK are absolutely unique to Brandauer.
Ongoing capital purchases focus on key technologies and equipment including wire EDM machines (all fully interfaced with the appropriate CAM software), modern presses, advanced 3D CAD equipment and environmentally friendly cleaning processes.
Brandauer’s recent investments include £750,000 in two state-of-the-art Bruderer presses and €500,000 on the latest Yamada Dobby press; £800,000 investment in new wire EDM technology which is rare in the UK and heavy investment in Visi Vero CAD/CAM software and Microsoft Dynamics Navision, a state-of-the-art Enterprise Resource Planning system that helps to optimise processes.
Brandauer has also invested in a Special Products Division (SPD) of which included numerous investments. As part of the project, Brandauer created a new material handling process to create narrower aisles in its warehouse and logistics department. It then invested £200,000 in new machinery. SPD was an important step forward in the firm’s development, ensuring low volume capability that would normally have to be sub-contracted or declined altogether.
Brandauer always make the right kind of investment. Investments that continue to increase capacity, improve accuracy and open-up a host of new market opportunities.
And Brandauer’s investment extends well beyond cutting edge technology, with just as much resource and attention focussed on the ongoing development of world-class manufacturing processes, quality management systems and people.
