Brandauer has secured a six-figure grant to expand its capabilities in the electric vehicle market, awarded through a programme that helps regional businesses strengthen their supply chains and move into new, high-growth sectors.
The company was awarded £199,500 from the West Midlands Supply Chain Transition Programme to develop a new manufacturing process for a critical component used in electric vehicle motors. This investment will also reinforce the UK’s position within the expanding EV supply chain.
The programme supports small and medium-sized enterprises such as Brandauer in broadening their customer base and winning new work in emerging areas of the economy. Alongside access to R&D grant funding, participating businesses benefit from workshops, one-to-one coaching with supply chain specialists, and leadership and change management training.
Funded by Richard Parker, Mayor of the West Midlands, through the West Midlands Combined Authority’s Investment Zone programme, the initiative is delivered by the Supply Smarter West Midlands Consortium, which includes:
- C&W Business Solutions

- Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG)
