Brandauer is continuing its ambitious growth plans following its recent MBO (management buyout) with the appointment of Harry Chapman as Financial Director. This appointment follows the departure of former Financial Director Stuart Gregory.
End of an era
For over a decade, Stuart played a pivotal role in Brandauer’s success, providing invaluable financial leadership and support. Working tirelessly behind the scenes, he helped steer the business through many milestones, including one of the most significant moments in Brandauer’s 163-year history – the management buyout.
Quite simply, the MBO would not have been possible without Stuart’s dedication, hard work and expertise.
On behalf of everyone at Brandauer, we would like to thank Stuart for his outstanding contribution and wish him every success for the future. He will be greatly missed.
A new beginning
Harry Chapman joins Brandauer as a Chartered Accountant with more than 10 years’ experience helping SMEs achieve growth and navigate complex strategic and financial challenges. Having worked within larger organisations, he brings extensive commercial and financial expertise to the heart of a growing manufacturing business.
As Brandauer continues to deliver its post-MBO growth strategy, Harry will play a key role in supporting the next phase of the company’s development. Although only a few weeks into the role, he is already bringing fresh ideas and demonstrating a strong commitment to Brandauer’s future.

Harry said: “It is a privilege to join one of Birmingham’s most iconic manufacturers and become part of Brandauer’s impressive 163-year history, built on a reputation for precision engineering and innovation. Despite the macroeconomic challenges facing UK manufacturing, Brandauer remains committed to building on the impressive growth achieved last year, both organically and through acquisition.
“The business has recently invested in the European and US markets, while also securing new work within the defence sector. I hope my contribution will help support Brandauer’s continued growth and long-term success.”
Brandauer CEO Rowan Crozier MBE added: “It’s always sad to say ‘goodbye’ to a loyal member of the team, and I wish Stuart Gregory every success in his future endeavours. He has been my right-hand man for more than 10 years and will be greatly missed.
“At the same time, I’m delighted to welcome Harry Chapman to Brandauer; he brings a fresh perspective at an exciting stage in our journey. The business is firmly focused on growth, and we continue to explore opportunities in new markets around the world. Harry’s expertise provides valuable financial insight and strategic support as we pursue those ambitions, and I look forward to seeing the impact he will make in the years ahead.”
