Bruderer presentation and £750,000 investment

Swiss birthday present rings in £750,000 investment for Brandauer

Brandauer marked its 150th birthday in style at MACH yesterday when it accepted a specially commissioned Swiss cow bell from high-speed press manufacturer Bruderer.

The presentation, which was made by CEO Andreas Fischer, marked a successful business partnership that that has seen the Birmingham-based precision component manufacturer place a £750,000 order for two state-of-the-art machines.

In addition to the ‘birthday gift’, Brandauer also received the first operational glimpse of the BSTA 280-75B2 it has purchased, which will make its way to its Newtown factory once the event closes.

The high-speed press will be joined by a BSTA 510-125B2 in the coming months and together they will produce a staggering 2 billion parts every year – opening up £2.5m in potential new sales and strengthening its low-risk tool transfer service.

David Spears, Managing Director of Brandauer, commented: “We have worked with Bruderer for many years and have a great deal of trust in the performance of their machines and the new technology they feature.

“The investment marks the start of an even closer relationship between the two firms.”

Adrian Haller, MD of Bruderer UK, concluded: “This level of investment shows the confidence in UK manufacturing and will ensure Brandauer continues to offer world class performance to its customers.”
